ReportServer: newly published reports and/or folders - how to remove the "!NEW" in gre

I am heavily using ReportServer to disseminate reports around my company, but I cannot get rid of the "!NEW" message in green beside each newly published item.
Help is appreciated, thanks.

You cannot remove it manually. It will go away automatically after 2 days (currently this value cannot be configured).

Obviously, you set the system time of the report server to a date in the past, publish the reports, and then set the system time to present time ...
