ReportingServices2000 and RS2005 client report desgin tools?

We have a project that is going to report from a sql2000 server utilizing
Reporting Services(RS). So the natural thing to use is RS2000, (i assume
based on licensing). I am confused concerning client report development
tools for each version.
For RS2000 -
1) The designer requires some version of 2003.net (vb,vs,etc..)?
2) One cannot use RS2005 tools?
For RS2005
1) Does this require VS2005?
2) Is there a tool built into the Sql Studio Management suite that can be
used instead of VS2005?
3) What about using 2003.net, is this an option?
TIA
CDRS 2000. True
RS 2005: It comes with a version of VS 2005 for the designer so no
additional purchase/install necessary. If you have VS 2005 installed it will
install in that but otherwise it installs a version just for the designer.
And, no, vs 2003 will not work.
RS 2000 is 1.1 framework and RS 2005 is 2.0 framework which is a big reason
for the VS version dependency.
