Hi in my task manager i notice that ReportingServic process has been building
up in memory consumption. Is this supposed to happen?Running reports in SQL 2k and in the future Yukon require that the entire
data set be instantiated in memory... In my opinion this is a shortcoming of
the product, since you can (and maybe will) get out of memory errors, and
IIS will reset the task.
The data must be in memory so that grouping and sorting in the report can
occur... In future versions I expect that MS will add some functionality to
allow the "plan" to become smarter to use a firehose cursor under conditions
which require no grouping or sorting outside of the database query.

amount of time?
